Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Subscription Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting our support team.

How to Cancel

  • Log into your account dashboard
  • Go to "Subscription Settings"
  • Click "Cancel Subscription"
  • Follow the confirmation prompts

You can also cancel by emailing us at support@resumetailor.ai with your account details and cancellation request.

2. When Cancellation Takes Effect

  • Your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You will continue to have access to premium features until the billing period ends
  • After cancellation, your account will revert to the free plan
  • No further charges will be made after cancellation

3. Free Trial Cancellation

If you cancel during your free trial period:

  • You will not be charged
  • Your premium access will end immediately
  • Your account will revert to the free plan
  • You can reactivate your subscription at any time

4. Refund Policy

Generally, all subscription fees are non-refundable. However, we may provide refunds in the following circumstances:

Eligible Refund Scenarios

  • Technical issues that prevent you from using the service for more than 7 days
  • Billing errors or duplicate charges
  • Fraudulent charges
  • Service unavailability for extended periods

Refund Process

  • Contact our support team within 30 days of the charge
  • Provide details about the issue
  • We will investigate and respond within 5 business days
  • Approved refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days

5. Pro-Rated Refunds

In exceptional circumstances, we may provide pro-rated refunds:

  • Significant service disruptions
  • Major feature removals that affect your usage
  • Account termination due to our policy changes

6. Data After Cancellation

After cancellation:

  • Your resume data will be preserved for 90 days
  • You can export your data before or after cancellation
  • Premium features will no longer be accessible
  • You can reactivate your subscription at any time

7. Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled:

  • Monthly subscriptions renew every month
  • Annual subscriptions renew every year
  • We will send email reminders before renewal
  • You can cancel anytime before the renewal date

8. Downgrades

If you downgrade from Enterprise to Pro or from Pro to Free:

  • The change takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • No refunds are provided for downgrades
  • You retain access to current features until the billing period ends

9. Payment Disputes

If you have a payment dispute:

  • Contact us first before disputing with your bank
  • We will work with you to resolve the issue
  • Chargebacks may result in account suspension
  • We prefer to resolve disputes directly
