Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Subscription Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting our support team.
How to Cancel
- Log into your account dashboard
- Go to "Subscription Settings"
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Follow the confirmation prompts
Alternative Cancellation
You can also cancel by emailing us at support@resumetailor.ai with your account details and cancellation request.
2. When Cancellation Takes Effect
- Your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period
- You will continue to have access to premium features until the billing period ends
- After cancellation, your account will revert to the free plan
- No further charges will be made after cancellation
3. Free Trial Cancellation
If you cancel during your free trial period:
- You will not be charged
- Your premium access will end immediately
- Your account will revert to the free plan
- You can reactivate your subscription at any time
4. Refund Policy
Generally, all subscription fees are non-refundable. However, we may provide refunds in the following circumstances:
Eligible Refund Scenarios
- Technical issues that prevent you from using the service for more than 7 days
- Billing errors or duplicate charges
- Fraudulent charges
- Service unavailability for extended periods
Refund Process
- Contact our support team within 30 days of the charge
- Provide details about the issue
- We will investigate and respond within 5 business days
- Approved refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days
5. Pro-Rated Refunds
In exceptional circumstances, we may provide pro-rated refunds:
- Significant service disruptions
- Major feature removals that affect your usage
- Account termination due to our policy changes
6. Data After Cancellation
After cancellation:
- Your resume data will be preserved for 90 days
- You can export your data before or after cancellation
- Premium features will no longer be accessible
- You can reactivate your subscription at any time
7. Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled:
- Monthly subscriptions renew every month
- Annual subscriptions renew every year
- We will send email reminders before renewal
- You can cancel anytime before the renewal date
8. Downgrades
If you downgrade from Enterprise to Pro or from Pro to Free:
- The change takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- No refunds are provided for downgrades
- You retain access to current features until the billing period ends
9. Payment Disputes
If you have a payment dispute:
- Contact us first before disputing with your bank
- We will work with you to resolve the issue
- Chargebacks may result in account suspension
- We prefer to resolve disputes directly
